I have felt hurt and anger
and love and lust
I have given myself completely
and played the game of trust
My heart was once uplifted
in ways I never knew
My heart was also torn apart
by a "you" I thought I knew
I took that chance to get a chance
to feel like I've never felt
never knowing till the very end
exactly what I'd been dealt
So I store away the memories
some anger and some pain
Store away unspoken joys
the adventures and the blame
Who wins at all in the game of love
for this I'm still not sure
win or lose
I'm moving on
got to find my own heart's cure
I've held on alone at night
not knowing what's to come
but finally I've realized
by letting go, I've won
I'll take a chance to get a chance
to feel like myself again
not knowing who, what, or where
shall cross my path - or when
I will let my guard down and I will bare my soul
I'd like to give and be given to
This is all I really know
