From the Stars

by D. Villena-Mata

From time immemorial
when there were no clocks,
no measurements,
save for the moon
and the
ebbs and flows of the waters
upon our shores.

There lived women who came from the stars
and migrated to islands and lands where
artists and farmers were honored and revered.

They came and mingled
and joined.
They left seeds in us to continue
forward through our daughters,
and our daughters' daughters.

To never forget
to live, to create,
to love
our Selves, with each other
in a manner that graces us all
and returns us to the stars of Life.
